We hope you had time to stop and see HARMAN at the recent TU-Automotive Detroit. As you may know, this key automotive conference attracts automotive manufacturers and suppliers worldwide.
TU-Automotive Detroit took place on June 6-8th at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, MI. This event is one of the largest trade shows for connected and autonomous cars in the world. With 150 speakers and 3,000 attendees, TU brings industry thought leaders together from major automakers and suppliers, all for the betterment of future mobility.
The TU-Automotive Detroit Awards Ceremony took place the night before the show began – and is an event where automakers and suppliers gather to recognize for key achievements, new products and services, thought leadership and more. This year, HARMAN was recognized as a finalist in several categories. HARMAN Connected Services was delighted to win the 2017 Telematics Update Automotive Award in the category of Best Telematics Product or Service for the HARMAN Ignite Platform.

The award was prominently displayed in the HARMAN booth where interactive demonstrations were showcased for several key solutions that exemplify HARMAN’s position as the go-to end-to-end connected solution provider for Automotive OEMs. At the event, HARMAN showcased:

- Smart Telematics Gateway
- Cyber Security solution (a version co-developed with our Partner IBM)

HARMAN also participated in several speaking engagements. Steve Surhigh, VP and General Manager of Application Services delivered a keynote speech on how Autonomous Vehicles will reshape the landscape of society which was very well received. Additionally, other HARMAN executives participated in panel discussions that focused on key industry topics.
