Position Purpose: Modeling & Statistical Methodology Design

  • Design and deliver methodologies and models that meet the needs of PI / ARS billable projects and internal solution development initiatives.



Roles and Accountabilities:


  • Work with client and ARS team members to understand project requirements and deliver projects as per the guidance of senior project leads
  • Deliver project outputs using analytical techniques such as regression (linear & logistic), classification techniques, heuristic algorithms, neural networks, linear programming and others for solving business problems including drivers analyses of promotion, HCP segmentation, and other commercial analytics projects
  • Ability to work on ad-hoc analytical projects with available tools and data
  • Ability to communicate complex analytical methodologies & findings to stakeholders in simple business language
  • Provide input and guidance to data management roles for preparing analytical datasets for analysis and modeling, i.e. specifying metrics and analytic needs
  • Execute modeling (mathematical / statistical / econometrical as per requirement) projects end-to-end independently or with project lead and present the analysis findings in PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn new tools, techniques and information assets as required for successful project delivery
  • Participate in developing new analytical methodologies for providing better solutions to clients
  • Be a strong team player, who is willing to share/train and learn from others as the job requires close collaboration with multiple stakeholders



  • 2+ years experience in respective data management and modeling skill areas within biopharma / life sciences, med tech or consumer healthcare
  • Project expertise relating to modeling or building integrated datasets for one or more of the following commercial analytics disciplines: promotion ROI / mix analyses, promotion response modeling, targeting and segmentation, forecasting and demand planning, drivers analyses, message impact studies, and managed care analytics
  • Must have a working knowledge of U.S. life science commercial data sets such as manufacturer promotion data, Rx and claims, or have the ability to quickly understand these data sets given expertise in similarly large, complex data sets
  • Experience in dealing with large volume of data using statistical tools like SAS, SPSS, R and Python
  • Familiar with Relational Database systems and BI/DW concepts, including APIs
  • Good project management skills with the ability to plan and manage multiple projects, multitask and deliver to tight deadlines, provide inputs on team members work when required


Tools, Tech & Data:

  • Must have advanced MS-Excel skills
  • Experience in BASE SAS, SAS STAT, and SAS Macros , R, Python
  • Technical knowledge of regression (linear & logistic), decision trees, heuristic algorithms, linear programming, marketing/promotional mix, customer segmentation, access analytics, resource optimization, etc.
