At Mobile World Congress 2018, we unveiled our development and go-to-market partnership with Samsung to build and deliver Industrial IoT solutions on ARTIK, Samsung’s smart IoT platform.
Paving the fastest path to interoperable IoT products and services, Samsung ARTIK presents a comprehensive set of solutions for both products and value-added services for a range of vertical markets including, manufacturing, healthcare, smart cities, smart homes and smart buildings.
Samsung Artik will accelerate speed-to-market for its users with its built-in security and ecosystem of tools. Based on this partnership, Samsung will provide ARTIK-based hardware modules, software solutions, and cloud services. Meanwhile, we will bring in our expertise in designing and developing user-friendly IoT applications along with IoT gateways.
Our sophisticated sensors will collect data in real-time from wearables that are connected to HARMAN IoT gateways and transmit it to Samsung's Artik cloud for further processing. Working with Samsung and implementing leading-edge technologies for various industries and customers, our IoT solutions & IoT gateway will facilitate the following:
- Quick deployment of IoT projects offering interoperability with an array of 400+ types of sensors
- Enhanced security, ensuring the integrity and access to sensors and devices
- Remote management of IoT solutions delivering firmware upgrades, provisioning, diagnostics and configuration changes
- Access to analytics allowing system managers to log into web interfaces to establish policies that determine how volumes of data received from the sensors will be treated
The combination of HARMAN’s IoT and gateway solution expertise and Samsung’s ARTIK platform will result in an end-to-end offering for all types of organizations to quickly and securely realize the promises of an IoT deployment.
